On November 28, Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, listened to the appeals of citizens who had been sent to the reception based on a queue in advance and answered their questions.
It was emphasized that the perfect political line pursued by President Ilham Aliyev ensures the comprehensive and sustainable development of our country and the consistent implementation of all social projects. It was noted that President Ilham Aliyev identified the solution of the problems of IDPs as one of the priorities of social policy. Necessary measures are being taken to improve their housing and living conditions and ensure sustainable resettlement of the population in the liberated territories. The First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva also pays special attention and care to the housing, education, and health issues of IDPs, actively participating in significant initiatives in this field.
The applications of citizens mainly revolved around improving housing conditions, communal services, status, monthly allowances, employment, return to the liberated territories, and other related matters.
During the reception by the Chairman of the Committee, the appeals of citizens, most of whom are IDPs, were heard and recorded accordingly. They were informed that the raised issues would be investigated and resolved in compliance with laws.
Upon the conclusion of the individual reception of citizens, the Chairman of the State Committee met with a group of residents of Sus village in Lachin district. The Chairman of the Committee provided detailed information to the participants about the implementation status of tasks related to the restoration of the liberated territories and the effective return of IDPs to their native lands. It was noted that construction in the village of Sus is ongoing, surveys are being conducted to assess the needs of residents, and other determined measures are being implemented to ensure the efficient return. Residents who attended the reception said that the village residents are ready to return to their native land.
