Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) specialists arranged training on “Awareness-raising on mine and explosive hazards” in the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.

25 employees of the State Committee Office and subordinated authorities regularly going on a business trip to liberated territories in order to perform their job duties were involved in the awareness-raising event.

It was noted that mine clearance operations were intensively carried out in territories liberated by our brave Army led by the President, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, restoration and construction works are expanded, preparations works are carried out for the Great Return. Even non-military territories occupied and mined by Armenia endanger lives of citizens returning or visiting to Karabakh without authorization.

Trainers informed on signs of dangerous territories and behavior guidelines in unknown suspicious areas in detail. They also demonstrated models for visual recognition of various types of mines and ammunition, improvised explosive devices.

At the end of training, employees of the State Committee received manuals on safety rules and relevant certificates.
