Under the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Rovshan Rzayev, has received citizens in Gadabay region on August 21, in accordance with the schedule of citizens’ reception by heads of central executive bodies in the cities and regions.

The IDPs temporarily residing in Gadabay attended the reception.

Their appeals were mainly related to the allocation of special-purpose residential areas of the state housing fund, determination of single monthly allowances and employment issues. The citizens were provided with detailed information on the state measures regarding solution of social problems of internally displaced persons, including improving the living conditions and expanding employment opportunities. It was noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays constant attention to strengthening social protection of internally displaced persons. New settlements are being built for IDPs as well as justice and transparency ensured in providing them with housing. 

It was stated that implementation of the instruction given by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, who treats the problems of citizens with special needs in a sensitive way, about relocation of the IDPs living  under the most severe conditions and damaged buildings to new apartments is being continued. 

Part of the issues raised by internally displaced persons during the reception was resolved on the spot. Relevant instructions were given to investigate other issues and take necessary measures.

It should also be noted that on August 21, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Fuad Huseynov received the IDPs temporarily settled  in Agstafa and Gazakh, and  Deputy Chairman  Sabir Ahmadov received the IDPs temporarily settled in Tovuz regions.
