On May 14, Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, held the next reception of citizens.

Chairman of the State Committee received citizens consisting mostly of IDPs individually by turns and listened to their appeals. In addition, a group of IDPs temporarily settled in the building of the former vocational school No. 1 at Surakhani district also attended the reception. Citizens appealed for improvement of the housing and living conditions were informed that they will be provided with new apartments in stages.   

All appeals were accordingly recorded and formalized. Citizens were said that each appeal will be investigated, appropriate measures will be taken according to legislation and they will be informed about it. 

It was pointed out to IDPs once again that the President Ilham Aliyev defined the solution of IDP problems as one of the main directions of social policy. Modern-type settlements are being built for citizens of this category. Based on the instruction given by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, regular monitoring is carried out in IDP`s temporary settlements, those living under the most severe conditions are identified and they are relocated to new apartments in the first place.

It should be noted that Chairman of the State Committee received 10,288 citizens over the past year. 5758 of them were received at the State Committee, 1812, according to the schedule of reception of citizens in the cities and regions by the heads of central executive powers, in the regions, and 2718 at the districts of Baku and surrounding areas.
