Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, held the next reception of citizens on May 7.

Chairman of the State Committee received citizens consisting mostly of IDPs individually by turns and listened to their appeals. The appeals were related to housing and living problems, single monthly allowance, status, employment and other issues. All appeals were accordingly recorded and formalized. Citizens were said that each appeal will be investigated, appropriate measures will be taken according to legislation and they will be informed about it. 

It was pointed out that the President Ilham Aliyev defined the solution of IDP problems as one of the main directions of social policy. Consistent measures are being taken to improve their housing and living conditions, modern-type settlements are built, and every year thousands of families are relocated to new apartments. Based on the instruction given by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, regular monitoring is carried out in IDP`s temporary settlements, those living under the most severe conditions are identified and they are relocated to new apartments in the first place.

It was stated that according to the Order of the President Ilham Aliyev, the amount of single monthly allowance for IDPs and persons equated to them was increased by 50 percent from April 1. Construction of residential buildings in different parts of the country is underway to improve the housing and living conditions of IDPs.
