Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, met with IDPs temporarily settled in the Creative House of the Writers` Union of Azerbaijan at Shuvalan settlement of Khazar district and familiarized with their living conditions. The IDPs gave detailed information on their housing and living problems to the chairman of the committee. Their appeals were listened carefully and the questions were answered. It was noted that the President Ilham Aliyev defined the problems of IDPs as one of the priority directions of the social policy successfully pursued in the country, necessary measures are being taken to improve their employment and material wellbeing. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva gave an instruction on accelerating the work regarding the relocation of IDPs settled in hazardous and damaged buildings and living under the most severe conditions in Baku and Sumgait to new apartments. The chairman of the committee said that the issues raised at the meeting will be investigated in a short time and appropriate measures will be taken.
