On October 23, the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs held the next reception of IDPs. The Chairman Rovshan Rzayev, Deputy Chairmen, head of apparatus, heads of divisions and departments of the State Committee attended the reception. The citizens enrolled to the reception beforehand were individually received and their appeals were listened. The appeals were mainly related to housing, status, single monthly allowance, employment and other issues. It was informed that the attention and care for IDPs, who are a sensitive group of the country`s population, who were displaced from their homeland, is one of the priorities of the state policy. Consistent measures are being taken by the President Ilham Aliyev to strengthen social protection of IDPs and improve their housing conditions. Implementation of the assignments of First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva to the new flats of IDP families living in unfinished and damaged buildings in Baku and Sumgait are underway. The implementation of the instruction given by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva about relocation of IDPs living in useless and damaged buildings to new apartments soon is underway. Relevant structures of the State Committee were given specific instructions to address the issues raised in the appeals.
