Based on the instruction of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and in accordance with the schedule of reception of citizens in the cities and regions by the heads of central executive powers, on September 28, Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs received citizens at the premises of the Office of Housing Operations in the settlement built for IDPs in Mingachevir. The internally displaced persons temporarily residing in Mingachevir, Yevlakh and Tartar participated in the reception. Their appeals were mostly related to housing, employment, utilities, status and other issues. Some of the appeals were resolved on the spot. It was informed that the construction of new settlements for IDPs and improvement of their economic wellbeing is the result of the care and attention shown by the President Ilham Aliyev. Solution of the problems of internally displaced persons has been determined as one of the priorities of the state`s social policy, and purposeful and consistent measures are taken to address them. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva treats IDPs in a sensitive way, and the implementation of the tasks assigned to accelerate the relocation of internally displaced persons living in the most difficult conditions and damaged buildings to the new apartments is still underway. The Chairman of the State Committee said that the appeals will be investigated and appropriate measures will be taken in a short time.
