On 14 August, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs held the reception of IDPs. The Chairman Rovshan Rzayev, Deputy Chairmen, heads of divisions and departments of the State Committee received IDPs. The problems of internally displaced persons were mostly related to the improvement of housing and living conditions, status, utilities, employment and other issues. They were informed that the President Ilham Aliyev had determined the measures taken to address the problems of internally displaced persons as the priority direction of the social policy. The First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva gave instructions to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons settled in the worst conditions, in damaged and unfit buildings at the first meeting. State programs were adopted to improve the material well-being of refugees and internally displaced persons, and significant measures were taken to increase social benefits. Appeals of internally displaced persons were accordingly recorded. The Chairman of the Committee attentively listened to the appeals of the reception participants and gave detailed explanations on the issues addressed.
