Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, met with internally displaced persons living in a number of temporary shelters in Sahil settlement of Garadagh district in difficult conditions. It was noted at the meeting that the solution of the problems of our compatriots suffering from the consequences of Karabakh war is of the priorities in the social policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev. In this regard, purposeful measures are being taken to improve the living conditions of the internally displaced persons who had to live in difficult conditions for a long time. As a result of the implementation of the instructions on this issue given by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva at the meeting held last year, hundreds of internally displaced families have recently been provided with new apartments. At present, new residential complexes are being built for IDPs in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron. The Chairman of the Committee attentively listened to the appeals of the meeting participants and gave detailed explanations on the issues provided in the appeals.
