On August 7, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs held the next reception of IDPs temporarily settled in Baku and other regions of the country. The Chairman Rovshan Rzayev, Deputy Chairmen, heads of divisions and departments of the State Committee attended the reception. The collective and individual appeals of internally displaced persons were mostly related to housing and living problems, accommodation, employment, registration and status issues. They were once again reminded that the President Ilham Aliyev is taking purposeful measures to address the problems of internally displaced persons. The construction of new residential complexes is underway, and internally displaced persons living in difficult conditions are being relocated to new apartments. It was noted that the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva always attaches great attention to the work done in this field. The appeals of internally displaced persons were carefully listened and properly recorded. The Chairman of the State Committee gave instructions to investigate the issues raised in the appeals as soon as possible and take appropriate actions complying with the existing legislation.
