On August 30, Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, met with the citizens who had signed up for reception on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a result of the determined military-political and diplomatic activities of the President, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, it was brought to the attention that restoration and construction works were carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, and all necessary measures were taken to create conditions for the return of IDPs to their permanent places of residence. It was noted that the head of state defined the resolution of issues related to return as the main task, and the construction of residential houses is currently being continued in a number of territories freed from occupation. It is planned to complete the transfer of the population to the houses put into use at the initial stage in the rebuilt Aghali village of Zangilan region by the end of this year.

It was said that the fact that the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva takes great care of our compatriots living in forced displacement and is currently paying attention to the restoration and construction works in their ancestral homes evokes a deep sense of satisfaction.

The IDPs, whom the Chairman of the Committee received individually, expressed their confidence that they will soon return to their homeland. The appeals of the citizens participating in the reception were mainly related to the improvement of housing and living conditions, communal services, status, single monthly allowance, employment, return to the territories liberated from occupation and other issues.

Citizens were told that their appeals and issues raised will be investigated and resolved in accordance with the legislation.
