According to the instruction of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in accordance with the schedule of reception of citizens in cities and regions by the heads of central executive authorities, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Rovshan Rzayev received citizens from Barda and Tartar regions in Barda, on June 16.

The reception was attended by citizens living in Barda and Tartar regions. Most of those who came to the reception were those who settled in these areas as Internally Displaced Persons. The issues of provision of special-purpose residential areas belonging to the state housing fund, repair of temporary residential areas, determination of single monthly allowance, employment and preparation for return prevailed in the appeals.

It was brought to the attention that President Ilham Aliyev has taken the necessary measures to strengthen the social protection of IDPs, and that the first vice-president Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva pays special attention and care to people of this category. Citizens were informed about the status of implementation of the instructions given by the head of state to restore the liberated territories and start the return of IDPs to their native lands. It was noted that residential areas for IDPs are being built only on the liberated territories and work in this area will be accelerated in the coming years. During the phased return, first of all, those who live in the most difficult conditions in temporary settlements will be moved to new apartments.

Some of the issues raised by citizens during the reception were resolved on the spot. The chairman of the State Committee said that the issues raised in the appeals will be investigated in a short time and appropriate measures will be taken.
