Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Rovshan Rzayev met with a group of residents of Aghdaban and Chaygovushan villages of Kalbajar on January 11.
It was noted that the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country as a result of the defeat of the Armenian occupying forces and the liberation of our lands by the brave Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the President, Triumphant Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is a source of pride and gratitude.
The former IDPs, who wanted to return to their homeland as soon as possible, expressed satisfaction with the state care provided to them and confidence that the government will take all necessary measures for the safe and dignified realization of the Great Return. Purposeful steps taken in this direction were highly appreciated.
The martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands were commemorated, and it was emphasized that it is a moral duty to ensure the return to the homeland, which is further sanctified by the blood of our heroic sons.
The participants of the meeting expressed hope that the villages of Aghdaban and Chaygovushan, like other settlements in the Kalbajar, will soon be handed over to the control of our army, and favorable conditions will be created for the return of the residents of those villages. They said that they had addressed an appeal to the President in this regard.
Questions of interest asked by former IDPs were answered at the meeting. In addition, views were exchanged on the tasks ahead for the restoration, revival and development of the liberated territories.
