On September 1, Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held the Committee’s next reception for citizens. The citizens’ appeals were carefully heard during the reception. It was noted that the issues raised would be examined and replied in accordance with the legislation. It was emphasized that the instructions issued by President Ilham Aliyev to ensure comfortable and safe living conditions for former internally displaced persons in their native lands are being implemented consistently, while First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva closely monitors the reconstruction and restoration efforts carried out in the liberated territories, with relevant measures being taken in accordance with her instructions.The Chairman of the Committee stated that, in line with the ongoing restoration efforts in the liberated territories, former internally displaced persons living in emergency and particularly difficult conditions are being resettled in first stage. The citizens’ appeals mainly concerned return to the liberated territories, the principles governing resettlement, participation in surveys, employment, improvement of housing and living conditions at temporary accommodation sites, utility services, IDP status, the unified monthly allowance, and other social issues.
