On June 12, a new relocation convoy departed for the settlements of Hadrut and Girmizi Bazar. The families participating in the relocation had been living temporarily in various regions of the country, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
As part of this stage of the resettlement process, 4 families comprising 17 people were relocated to Hadrut, while 8 families comprising 42 people moved to Girmizi Bazar. The families were presented with the keys to their new homes upon arrival.
The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive support and care provided by the state. They also conveyed their appreciation to the valiant Azerbaijani Armed Forces, as well as to the heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the country’s territories from occupation. In addition, they honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this cause and offered prayers for their souls.
Representatives of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, attended the ceremony.
